Do you believe in the supernatural?
Do you believe the Bible?
There are a lot of things in the Bible that are difficult to understand or uncomfortable to discuss - especially in our modern society. And so most pastors and biblical scholars will ignore those passages because they don't fit their theology. However, if you understand why these passages were written and what these passages mean, it will help you better understand God's creation of the realms, the rebellions that took place and what God has done to restore the realms - including your ultimate destiny.
But do you really believe all of the Bible?
We have to read the Bible in its entirety. Everything in the Bible is important to the whole story. Any original story, with significant material ignored, won't be the same story that the author intended. If you believe that you're a Christian, then you want all the information available that the author (God) intended His people to know. That will help you to understand what He considers a Christian is and what responsibilities that He expects from His children. In the end, its God alone who will determine who is and isn't a true Christian - according to His definition.
